The December Piano Recital featuring the students of Amanda Schafer is scheduled for Saturday, December 13th, at 2:00, at the Hensdale Chapel at Methodist University.
Every student is allowed to play one to two pieces of music. Participation in this recital is not required, but certainly encouraged. Thanks to the partnership with Fayetteville Piano Teachers Association and Methodist University, there is no recital fee.
Dress Code: This is a special event to showcase everyone’s hard work and talent, and it is important to wear something special to honor that. Please refrain from wearing jeans, flip flops, and sneakers. For the guys, a collared shirt and nice pants is good (but please feel free to wear a jacket and tie if you like). For the ladies, a dress, a skirt and top, or top and nice pants is good. Please make sure to practice in your shoes beforehand to ensure that you can comfortably practice in them. Nails must be trimmed short.
What to Bring: Please bring your sheet music, even if it is memorized and you do not plan to use it. It is always nice to have your books on hand to look at your piece one last time before you get up to perform. There will be a reception following the recital, and for those that would like to help with food, please let me know what you would like to bring.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Please RSVP by Monday, December 1st.
